One Community Foundation
Established in May 2010, One Community Foundation is a non-profit organisation and registered charity created to generate financial support for local community activities. Our role is to build and manage a series of endowment funds, so that we can make a lasting contribution across Kirklees, by delivering grants to local groups and the wider community.
We have joined forces with Batley Bulldogs and Dewsbury Rams to hold a variety of events, including a Charity Fun Day at Batley RLFC (Mount Pleasant) on Saturday 4th August, starting at 2pm. Stalls are available for charities and trade - please follow this link to download an application form.
The second-leg of the popular ‘Golden Goal’ competition, which has been kindly sponsored by the Ponderosa visitor attraction at Heckmondwike will take place on Sunday 12th August. Read more about our Golden Goal challenge here…
The foundation is a member of the Community Foundation Network (CFN), which aims to promote the concept of community foundations in the UK, stimulate and support their growth and best practice, and give support to individual community foundations and their networking with others.

Donations can be made by a cheque in the post, online via a secure and professional donor management organisation.
Use It Or Lose It: we can double your donation by claiming money on offer from the Government – but we need to act fast.....
Giftaid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. The Inland Revenue treat donations as if the donor had already deducted basic rate tax from them. The charity can then reclaim this tax.
