Community benefits

Sometimes it’s the simple ideas that prove the most effective. Whilst there is a huge variety of national charities and non-profit organisations, it is often the local, smaller ones that go unnoticed and miss out on support from their own community.

 This is where One Community can help. The foundation was launched in May 2010 to promote local giving and encourage business and individuals to support small ‘grassroots’ voluntary organisations across Kirklees. The following pages contain a number of ‘case studies’, which illustrate the wonderful benefits that can be achieved in Kirklees - thanks to a grant from One Community:
