the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees.
Judith and Neil have a special interest in the Huddersfield post code areas of HD1, HD3 and HD7; although they will consider supporting applications from all Kirklees voluntary groups. You can apply for up to £1,000 from this fund, and applications are invited for project, equipment expenditure and operating costs.
The fund supported the 611 Asylum & Support group (picture above left) with a grant of £1,500 to support their ‘Open Door Drop-in’ sessions. The sessions provided 2,364 meals last year, and the opportunity for local people to access services, receive information and advice, and importantly make new friendships. The Marsden Jazz Festival has been regularly supported, and recently received £1,000 to help with the cost of organising and running the festival.
To make an application, scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the 'apply now' button, and follow the on-screen instructions. (Do not delete your registration email, as this contains a link to your application form, and will enable you to go back and complete details at a later stage, if you require).
See below for the fund application deadlines - you can apply for up to £1,000. Please be aware that it can take up to 3 months before you receive any funding, so please schedule your project accordingly. ALL supporting documents must be received with your application - either by post, or attached with the online application form.
One Community makes grants to a wide range of organisations. The Foundation is particularly keen to help grassroots community groups, and small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations, and priority will be given to these groups. We do not normally make grants to large local, regional and national charities. If in doubt whether your application can be considered, please contact us: (01484) 468397.
If you have no computer knowledge and would prefer a paper application form, please conatct us (01484) 468397.
